What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website.
Cookies we use
healthcalculus uses only essential cookies — those required to make the site work.
Authentication
When you sign in we store an authentication token in a cookie so we know you're signed in. It expires when you sign out or after a period of inactivity, is set with HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax flags, and cannot be used to track you across other websites.
Preferences
If you change a setting like preferred units (metric vs imperial), we may save that choice. You can clear it anytime.
Cookies we do NOT use
- Analytics cookies (Plausible is cookieless)
- Advertising cookies (we don't run ads)
- Cross-site tracking or third-party social cookies
Why there's no cookie banner
Banners are required when a site uses non-essential cookies. We only use essential cookies, so no banner is needed — and we'd rather respect your attention.
Managing cookies
You can clear cookies in your browser settings. Clearing the authentication cookie will sign you out.
